Eligibility Criteria For Indigenous PhD Fellowship:

  • Applicants must have nationality of Pakistan.
  • Applicants must have at least 16 years of education (Master or relevant degree)
  • Applicants must not have any 3rd Division in his/her educational career.
  • Applicants applying for this scholarship must have CGPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Applicants must have first division in M.phil Program.
  • Applicants from public sector faculty can apply even at the age of 40.
  • Private employees can apply until the maximum age of 35.
  • Applicants must not be availing any other governmental and HEC Funds/Scholarships.

Benefits of the Indigenous PhD Fellowship Program:

Because it is a governmental program and developed to produce experts in relevant fields for the growth of Pakistan, the HEC is providing exceptionally reasonable benefits to those students who successfully avail the scholarship.

  • Monthly Stipend of Rs.12000 rupees will be given to M.phil Scholars.
  • Monthly Stipend of Rs.18000 rupees will be given to PhD Scholars.
  • Yearly stipend of Rs.100000 will be given for Tuition fees, books, transport, and other educational purposes.
  • Yearly stipend of Rs.60000 will be given to PhD students for workshop and research purposes.
  • Book allowance of Rs.5000 rupees will be given.
  • For Thesis evaluation from abroad, a stipend of Rs.18000 will be given to students.
  • Stipend of Rs.5000 will be given at the completion of the program.
  • Laptop worth Rs.60000 will be given to the students.
